Are your products natural?

• Yes, my products are natural. I love using our beautiful Earth’s magical gifts when I am mixing and creating these skin goodies.

Are your products vegan?

• Absolutely! All of my products are made with plant-based ingredients.

How long have you been in business?

• I have been a business since 2015, but I have had a connection to skincare for many years. Starting at TEN (so young), I starting suffered from breaks outs that turned into terrible acne as a teenager- the kind that was painful and cystic. My mom took me to dermatologists and bought countless products and nothing worked. It wasn’t until I started working at a spa and seeing an esthetician who gave me facials and sent me home with proper skincare that my passion for skin started. After working there for a little while, I enrolled in Naperville Skin Institute where I became a licensed esthetician in 2009.

  I remember being in esthetics school and showing my classmates mixtures I made with pre-made products to customize masks. It was so fun to play around with products and ingredients.

  Since I was a kid, mixing and creating brought me so much joy. You’d find me in the mud making stick and stone soup, or in the kitchen trying to bake. Here I am in 2020, still loving to create and mix things up!

What has been been the biggest highlight of your business?

• Gosh, there are a few I can think of. Right off the bat, I have to say my customer connections have been the very best thing to happen to me. I’ve gotten to know some of my customers and think of them as friends.

• I was featured in a big magazine and chosen as one of the editors pick next to huge names! It was truly an honor.

• Someone from a major retailer approached me about adding my line to their store. It was a shock, and I was so happy at the thought, but I am not ready for that kind of growth.

How long do your products last?

• Like fresh produce, these skincare treats are delicate and perishable. It depends on the product you are using. Coconut Cleansing Milk and Plum + Argan Serum have a shelf life of 12 months. Hydrating Rose Mist, Balancing Orange Mist, Camu Camu Moisturizer have a shelf life of 6 months. Super Fruit Night Treatment must be used within 3 months.

• Please store your products in a cool, dry and dark area.

• Please avoid exposing moisture, air and sunlight to them.

• These products are natural, have little to no preservatives and can grow mold if given the opportunity. Please stop use immediately if you spot any.

Where can I purchase your skincare?

• You can order my skincare online through my website, www.chanlachaucosmetics.com.

Can men use these products?

• Yes!! Anyone can use my line, including men. I invite them to use it, the ones who do, really like the products!

Can you give me a consultation?

• Please e-mail me with your specific skin concerns and what products you are currently using. I would love to help you!

Do you do facials?

• No, not at this time.

When can I expect to get my shipment after ordering?

• I make my products in micro batches and only ship them fresh which means you may have to wait for a fresh batch to be made. Please know it’s worth the wait to get a freshly poured bottle of skin treats! I also label, package, hand write notes with every order and it takes me time to perfect everything for you. It may take up to 2-3 weeks to get your order.

What if I have a reaction to your products?

• If you experience a reaction, stop use immediately and consult with your doctor.

Can I exchange or return an item?

• I do not offer any exchanges or returns, but please do reach out to me with any concerns.
